Dear Members of the Mount Pleasant Education Foundation,

Last year I wrote a grant on behalf of the fourth grade team for 30 chrome books and a charging cart and was generously awarded the money to purchase them. The students are so fortunate to have this technology at their fingertips.  Currently we  are working on a non-fiction unit.  Students are researching different weather events through various kid-friendly websites, taking notes and eventually will be working in groups in Google Docs to create a presentation.  I explained to them that the skills they are learning will carry with them through their  years here at Mount Pleasant. They are excited to be doing something they know that the middle school and high school students do!  I thought I would share with you what we are doing and some pictures so that you know that the money is being put to good use!
