Thank you for visiting the home of the Mount Pleasant Education Foundation.

Based in Thornwood, New York, we are constantly welcoming new members to join the Foundation all year long.  From planning events, to assisting with fundraising, working through grant requests, and marketing our mission throughout the community, no time is too little to volunteer as a member.  We strive to truly

make an impact on the education of every student, at every school, within the

Mount Pleasant Central District.  Most importantly, we have fun while doing it!

We are parents, teachers, students, business owners, friends and extended family working together to enrich the education of our Mount Pleasant students.  As volunteers, we take the time to provide educational tools and programs proposed by our teachers, beyond the funding available to our school district through its annual budget and tax revenues, to support our next generation of fellow Americans.

The Mount Pleasant Education Foundation (the “Foundation”) is a not-for-profit corporation that exists to enhance the educational experience of the students of the Mount Pleasant Central School District (the “District”).  The Foundation consists of volunteers who work together to raise money, which is then distributed to the educators of the District for educational programs and/or educational capital items.  One-hundred percent of the net proceeds benefit the students of our District as their learning experience is enhanced by the programs and items financed by the grants.  The Foundation has awarded over $600,000 in grants to the District since its inception in 1996.
