These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website operated by the Mt. Pleasant Education Foundation, Inc. ("MPEF," "we," "us," or "our") at https://www.mtpef.org/ (the "Site"). As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enriching education, we value your support and your compliance with these Terms.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree

to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site.

2. Services and Purpose

The Site is primarily provided for informational purposes related to MPEF's mission, including:

  • Providing information about our mission, grants, and programs.

  • Facilitating event registration and ticket purchases (e.g., Golf Outing, Turkey Trot).

  • Processing donations and sponsorship registrations.

  • Offering newsletter sign-up services.

 

3. Event and Transaction Policies

  • Registration and Payment: All transactions (event tickets, sponsorships, and donations) conducted through or linked from the Site are final unless otherwise specified in writing. MPEF uses third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, or ticketing platforms) to handle all monetary transactions. MPEF is not responsible for any errors or security breaches arising from the use of such third-party processors.

  • Refunds: Refund policies for specific events will be posted on the relevant event page. Donations are generally non-refundable unless MPEF determines, at its sole discretion, that an error occurred in the donation process.

  • Sponsorship Recognition: Any use of MPEF's trademarks, logos, or content by sponsors must be pre-approved in writing by MPEF.

 

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, event names, and software, is the property of MPEF or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without explicit written permission from MPEF.

 

5. User Conduct and Obligations

You agree not to use the Site to:

  • Engage in any unlawful or fraudulent activity.

  • Impersonate any person or entity.

  • Post or transmit any material that is defamatory, obscene, indecent, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.

MPEF reserves the right to make changes to the Site, our policies, and these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.
